Okay I know everyone has different tastes and stuff but I personally believe that Endgame!Thor was pretty darn sexy and I don't know if it's because he looks more vikingy(?) or because Chris can literally pull off anything (seriously Chris doesn't get enough credit). And I get why everyone is mad at the fat jokes and the bad treatment of the character. Like I just wish we could have gotten that look without retconing like 5 movies worth of development and making fun of fat people

While TDW!Thor is my ultimate look for the character, I’d have been down for exactly this, that Thor’s weight gain and growing his hair+beard back out could have really been done well, I actually liked the braided beard a lot (it was just too little too late by that point for me).  Depression and weight gain can hit anyone, as well as it doesn’t automatically make a person unsexy, Thor looked good the way he was, except for the constant way he was turned into a joke and the weight gain went hand in hand with that.His tears were treated as something pathetic and to be mocked.  His depression was treated as weakness, rather than something he needed to be supported through.  None of it felt like an extension of what came before.  The way we’re shown Thor’s downward spiral is that it’s a pain in the ass for other characters, rather than “Hey, maybe we should actually check up on him and help him.”  Valkyrie seemed like she was trying (and you can’t make someone talk about it or accept help if they don’t want to, which I got the impression was the impossible position she was in), but did none of the other Avengers go check on him?I was totally down with the more Viking-style look (even knowing that Chris probably hated all the time in the makeup chair that took), but having it be part of a “lol Thor’s pathetic because he’s fat now!” jokes + treating his grief like it was hilarious and he was weak for being depressed just sucked all the joy right out of it for me.And it’s frustrating because a few reasonably minor tweaks could have made this a really great movie, there was a ton of stuff I really loved, but those things that were awful were so awful that they just make me grind my teeth every time I think about it.  AND I DIDN’T WANT TO BE HERE, I WANTED TO LOVE THIS MOVIE, DAMMIT.  FINALLY NEBULA GETS TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND SHE’S SO GREAT AND I ENJOYED ALL THE TONY STUFF AND SO MUCH OF THE STEVE STUFF AND THEY HAD TO DO THIS.

btw i never understood bi erasure, like, i can see how people could have a hard time grasping the concept of asexuality but finding people of opposite sexes or your own attractive just makes so much sense? like, there are SO MANY beautiful people in the world??

What do you expect from a man who says he wouldn’t change one bit of his movie if he could. Terrible attitude for a filmmaker if you ask me.

I’d like to think I don’t expect anything anymore, but somehow it still manages to dumbfound me that this was allowed to happen in a high-profile, 250 million dollar franchise production. That the director and his chosen crew were just allowed to put in what looks like the bare minimum effort by anyone’s standards -- and praised as a genius for it. WTF.

But yeah. I guess if you’re a white dude, being a director still means you might as well be a god who can do no wrong.

it was heavily implied that l’rell did something to him, and it looks like those fucking awful fan theories were right and maybe i’m just giving in too easily on that but they were hinting at something and i’m so tired

it’s not really new, this is the sixth season. but it’s called Natsume Yujincho/ Natsume’s Book of Friends and you can find it on crunchyroll. I always tag what shows i’m blogging about, just a reminder for everyone.
