Dopehead - Dat Choppa

I don't understand why Dopehead doesn't receive the same kind of appreciation reserved for Fools Gold's rap/EDM hybrid Danny Brown. Dopehead belongs to the Detroit Bruiser Brigade and is an affiliate of Danny Brown, he even appears on his latest mixtape Devils Heaven twice.

From videos like Airbags we know Dopehead likes to keep it gutta in his cinematography. The Detroit reconstruction has contributed to many of the brightest young stars of hip hop interested in rebuilding many concepts of the genre from the ground up.

Dopehead spits with an intensity that can only be matched by Danny Brown, with a varied double-time rhythm that is distinctly trap.

The whole tape displays Dopehead screaming over spastic trap snares and bass that'll blow your subwoofers. The fusion of EDM and hip hop has been something that Danny Brown has tiptoed around, careful not to lose audience in the hip hop audience while touring with labelmate A-Trak to expand to the dance music crowds.

I've been paying attention to Dopehead for a while now and with Devils Heaven I think he proves he has a similar skill-set to his Detroit brother, and I'd be surprised if he doesn't receive similar success.
