Vincent could only describe the feeling in the pit of his stomach as dread. Something about Sebastian made the Earl uncomfortable, but he couldn’t place it. Sebastian was an amazing servant, but he was too amazing. Then there was the fact that his son was so different now and had such control over this grown butler. Far more power than over the other servants anyways. Not that Vincent minded his son having a servant that obeyed him, but something about Sebastian made Vincent wish that his son could’ve had that bond with any of the other servants.
“Your devotion is as remarkable as ever.” He chose against answering the other’s question. “That’s not how I would describe you, but feel free to describe yourself that way. Just keep up the good work. We are having guests over later after all.”
