Its time, for one of Mr Hares ghost stories..... it was the 8th February of the year 1855 in the Exe Estuary in Devonshire England. It was a cold and bitter winter. It reportedly snowed from January to March that year. It snowed heavy that night. The following morning, the people were shocked to find mysterious cloven hoof prints leading across the county. Measuring 8 to 16 inches apart leading from 40-100 miles. All in one direction. No source was found and it was reported the prints were almost branded into the snow. No obstacles stopped them. Prints were found on roofs from a mysterious bipedal creature. It was thought to be the devil. Did the devil himself walk the earth that night?......... People were frightened to go out after dark after they found the prints. There is little known evidence left apart from a few saved newspaper articles and diagrams of the hoof prints. The story had passed into legend where people still ponder to this day. There have been many theories about what happened. One person theorised it was an escaped circus kangaroo. Others say that it was a experimental balloon which was dragging a shackle where it had accidentally broke free. It could be tall tales where the story and legend had grown from person to person. Or it could be something supernatural Was it a unidentified crypted or was it as they say the devil paid a visit.
