How I Think Philip Wittebane’s Glyph Combos (Or, In Certain Cases, Certain Aspects Of Them) Could’ve Been Used To Help Witch And Demon Society
Ok. Here I’ll be going over my thoughts on how Philip Wittebane’s Glyph combos or, at least, certain aspects of them could’ve been used to help witch and demon society. Also, Spoiler Alert for The Owl House TV series. With that out of the way, let’s dive right in.
As shown in the episode ‘Elsewhere And Elsewhen’, Philip’s Teleportation Glyph combo involves a component that consists of a Fire Glyph connected to a circle around it that has 3 Plant Glyphs and 1 Ice Glyph on it. And, as I pointed out in one of my previous posts, that component of the Teleportation Glyph, when taken on its own, could be an Enhancement Glyph combo since, partly because it is the one satellite circle that is attached to all 3 outer rings that wrap around the Fire Glyph in the center of the whole Teleportation Glyph combo, it represents the person or thing that is being teleported. Plus, the Fire Glyph in the center of the Enhancement Glyph combo component probably represents the energy of the person or thing since fire emits energy in the form of heat and the 3 Plant Glyphs probably help represent the properties of the person or thing since plants have a variety of different properties since plant life can take on a variety of different forms like flowers and trees for example and the Ice Glyph probably represents the shape of the person or thing since ice can take on different shapes depending on what is frozen like how the ice on a frozen football takes the shape of a football and the ice on a frozen soda can takes the shape of a soda can. And, since that combo of the Fire Glyph, the 3 Plant Glyphs and the 1 Ice Glyph represents the person or thing, it could represent a person’s strength, speed, stamina, etc. That would really help out the Construction Coven since, as shown in the episode ‘Covention’, members of the Construction Coven use Power Glyphs that can be used to enhance a witch’s or demon’s power and magic. What I’m suggesting here is that someone could draw a smaller version of the Enhancement Glyph combo on the other side of the paper that the Power Glyph is on. The Enhancement Glyph combo would enhance the power of the witch or demon and would also enhance the enhancement power of the Power Glyph itself which would enhance its ability to enhance the witch’s or demon’s magic and power.
Philip’s Monster Hand Glyph combo which as shown in the episode ‘Them’s The Breaks, Kid’, has 1 Plant attached to a circle that wraps around a C shape that has 2 Fire Glyphs attached to it and that also has within it a circle with a Plant Glyph attached to it, might have been pretty helpful for the Plant Coven witches and demons. After all, I believe the reason why the Monster Hand Glyph combo has a couple Plant Glyphs on it is because, since plants are living matter, those Plant Glyphs represent the living matter that the 2 Fire Glyphs then, just like how things are forged into swords through heat, forge into something more monster hand-like since those 2 Fire Glyphs are attached to a C shape which is basically the closest a 1-dimensional line can get to a hand shape which C-shaped Lego minifigure hands are a testament to. And, as shown in the episode ‘Follies At The Coven Day Parade’, Plant Coven members have the ability to manipulate plants. So, with a Monster Hand Glyph combo carved into a plant, the Plant Glyphs aspect might enhance the plant’s power since both Plant Glyphs and plants themselves represent plants. And, since that might form a link between the plant and Plant Glyphs and, by extension, the whole Monster Hand Glyph combo and, with the Fire Glyph aspect using that link to connect to the plant itself and mutating that plant into something more monster hand-like and thus probably enhance the plant’s power even further.
I also think that Philip’s Monster Hand combo could really help out the Beast Keeping Coven since, as shown in the episode ‘Eda’s Requiem’, members of the Beast Keeping Coven can potentially mutate parts of their body to gain more animal-like characteristics which means they have mutation powers. And, as I pointed out in my previous point, the Plant Glyphs aspect represents living matter since plants are made of living matter. And that means that, working in conjunction with the 2 Fire Glyphs attached to the C shape, it mutates that living matter into something more monster hand-like by forging it into that kind of shape just how things are forged into sword shapes through heat. And animals are made of living matter too and, as shown in the episode ‘Eda’s Requiem’, Beast Keeping magic is tied to animals and animal characteristics. So, what I’m suggesting is carving the Monster Hand Glyph combo into a powerful enough Beast Keeping Coven member’s hand and, since both Beast Keeping magic and Plant Glyph magic is tied to living matter in some way, the Beast Keeping Coven member might be able to use their magic to form at least somewhat of a link to the Plant Glyphs aspect of the Monster Hand Glyph combo and, by extension, the entire Monster Hand Glyph combo to get it to stop the Monster Hand Glyph combo’s mutation from going too out of control for the Beast Keeping Coven member. And, between the Monster Hand Glyph combo mutating the Beast Keeping Coven member’s hand and the Beast Keeping Coven member’s own mutation magic, that might cause their mutation to become much more powerful. They might even get even more power than that considering that the hand is what is getting mutated and, as shown in the episode ‘The Intruder’, a witch’s magic comes from using their hand’s finger to draw magic energy circles and, as shown in the episode ‘Knock, Knock, Knockin’ On Hooty’s Door’, biped demons do that same thing too. This idea of mine was also inspired by the fact that, as shown in the episode ‘Elsewhere And Elsewhen’, Philip carved a Glyph combo into his skin.
For this last one, I’m gonna be doing something different. I’m taking the aforementioned Glyph combo component that had a Fire Glyph connected to a circle attached to 3 Plant Glyphs and 1 Ice Glyph and I’m replacing its Fire Glyph with a Light Glyph. I think that the result would be a Quantum Sense Glyph combo that allows the person to be feel even the smallest subatomic particles in their body through their sense of touch. After all, light is about illuminating objects to our sense of sight by shining light on them and this would help the Light Glyph, in conjunction with the rest of this Quantum Sense Glyph combo, illuminate the feeling of subatomic particles to the person’s sense of touch. And I think that the 3 Plant Glyphs help it accommodate the properties of a living being’s sense of touch since plants have a variety of properties since plant life can take different forms like flowers and trees for example and the 1 Ice Glyph probably helps it accommodate the shape of the part of our body that is responsible for the person’s sense of touch since ice can take different shapes depending on what is frozen like how ice on a frozen football takes the shape of a football and the ice on a frozen soda can takes the shape of a soda can for example. This Quantum Sense Glyph combo could really help out the members of the Oracle Coven. After all, as shown in the episode ‘Escaping Expulsion’, Oracle Coven magic can be used to use telepathy to communicate with other people which means that Oracle Coven magic can be tied to the mind. And both telepathy and how we perceive what we sense is tied to the mind. So, having a sense of touch altered to the point that it can feel subatomic particles would really help out members of the Oracle Coven.
Well, that’s all for this post.
