Mizuki stared at her questioningly while Ashe brought down the box. Once he saw what she handed him, his eyes lit up.

"Wait, really? For me?" He checked it over, running his fingers against the texture. It was so cool... And a very kind gesture. He isn't the best at taking gifts these days due to his past so he stared at it for a good while, thinking if he should accept it. Maybe he should. "You're so nice. I really love it... Thanks." He pulled down his mask to show a genuine smile, then pinned the little guy to his belt, "I'll be sure to keep it close." Between his lucky shard from Hazard and the new pin Ashe gave him, he was over the moon. Even if he seemed pretty calm about it. Mizuki crossed his arms at Ashe, "Looks like I'll have to repay the favour, one of these days~" He smiled slyly, looking Ashe over for ideas of things she would like as a gift, herself.

Mizuki was looking at the woman intently as she spoke but then his eyes trailed to the counter top as he thought of a good answer. He just sat down next to her at the bar, not expecting anything but quiet company, but her sincere words surprised him.

"Ah... Sure I do, but... Sometimes you have to leave the ones you care about. Just for a bit, while you focus on yourself... That's what I'm doing." His gaze met the stranger's once more.

"Don't worry about me- I'll be fine; you dont seem to bite. Too hard, I hope." He spoke teasingly. "...This weather seems to want me dead more than anyone else here does."

He slipped his mask down off his face to exhale a hot breath. It was way more hot out than he was used to, here in the desert. Mizuki was overdressed for this accidental meet up, even the bar they were seated in was a little overbearing for him in his streetwear. He was thankful to be sitting down, finally.

"You can trust me-" He tried to speak with the same sincerity that she gave him a moment before. "-if I can trust you." They were barely strangers, Mizuki was just traveling alone, but he seemed to be in good company now- he didn't find the other a threat at all. She seemed more worried for him than he was of her.

Mizuki's head was tilted down in a way where Ashe couldn't see his eyes. "Yeah, you think so?... I think I'll keep it that way."

He moved his head to look at Ashe in the eyes. "After all, it keeps me and the people I care about safe." He gestured a hand towards her, "What about you? You're pretty easy to underestimate, yourself. Don't you like it that way?"

"You know... I don't think I have to tell you this, but you're a great shot and very easy on the eyes. Especially when you know you're in charge of the show and get a little rowdy; it's an endearing trait of yours."
