pkmn ramble
I guess in a way this is a warning before a ton of rambles with random za screenshots shoved in. It'll make sense because the whole dlc is such a meme to me like game freak had fun with this one you could tell [spoilers for some megas and side quest rewards in the dlc]
Though somewhat odd thing to be disappointed about but why did we not get any new furfrou trims with the dlc?? I get the base game because they announced the dlc before the game came out so they were intentionally being cheap but like they gave us tons of new megas but they couldn't give us one new trim for a pokemon that literally debuted in the original games?? Like okay deprive us of mega Flygon since he's not even in the game [don't fact check me] but instead of giving us a bs mega that's mega tatsugiri [not hating it's just one of the more disappointing ones] give us a moon themed Furfrou trim or smth. Or bc it's the dlc give us an x, y, or z themed trims that's inspired by the trio or alpha, omega, delta trims [I assume you get the point]
Ranting aside I will say the outfits you get from the side quests are cool. I'm a bit biased because we got Corbeau's [I haven't brought that name up in a minute lol] I feel like they're are kinda testing designs out for pkmn masters in a way though because why else would they chose to base it off of the respective megas instead a more generic color alt? [Ignore my delusional as I just want to hear Corbeau speak japanese via pkmn masters]
Once you see the screen shots you'll see I ran around in Corbeau's fit for a bit which made scenes of them together [Berry and Corbeau] really funny to me. Also wish you could mix match the ties or had the jacket unbuttoned [I don't need both just wanted one mainly the mixing one because there's one other I wish we could mix up the versions]
To throw a bit of oc x cannon in here the satchel Berry has is the alt version from the Corbeau set [aka the mega scolipede colors] and I like to think it's a gift from Corbeau that he made but his pride makes him say he bought it [though you can tell it's hand made] also is it just me or is the fit of the jacket [same set] also the right length to seem like we legit took it form Corbeau? I do really like the thought of Berry "borrowing" Corbeau's jacket when they goes on longer field missions or dealing with team MZ stuff Corbeau hates it but Berry does not care.
Also back to the main topic we also get some of the character hairstyles and Cannoli's is going to be part of the next girly pop outfit I decide to throw Berry in. Ivor's honestly doesn't look as bad a I thought but Berry looks like such a lesbian with Corbeau's cut like I couldn't stop laughing for a good bit.
Going back off topic something I've seen on insta a lot that I agree with is the lack of the mc being able to customize mega stone placement. For a second throwing on Corbeau's fit for I second I was like "Do I have two mega stones on my model rn?" the answer is no but it would've been cool if they matched where the character had mega stones on their outfits [I would suffer the default mega animations because it would've been the start of smth] I'm looking at this more of a creativity standpoint because there's a lot of pkmn ocs out there and I rarely see a mega bracelet on them [I think most common is an earring] and honestly I would just like the option to remove the bracelet like you can remove mega stones from the pkmn. Like I don't use it much already in za but also canonically Berry doesn't have it on them during the day to day due to worrying about losing it and having a full team of pkmn compared to a normal person with 2 or 3 max but this ramble is growing long so I shall probably pick this up on my Devisions blog since it's about Berry so have a good day/night!
