So When Was Anyone Gonna Tell Me Leon Is The Pokémon Equivalent of a Disney Princess?
Because as someone who loves both Animated Disney Movies and Pokémon I whole heartedly approve.
Leon song when? Let this man sing his solo.

Pkmn ramble
I did this side quest a while ago but I've been too distracted with the dlc to talk about it lol. This was kinda fun ngl even for it just being the same team. I almost lost once because I only brought two pkmn at lvl with me and the rest I was leveling up [aka terrible movesets included] but thanks to the low chance of ember being able to burn I was able to stall out the mega clefable [which I today learned it's fairy flying]
I mainly just took screenshots of text I found funny [also Lebanne's applaud once you win is cute ngl] but is it just me or is the third one giving a "she asked for no pickles" vibe? Regardless don't go far because you may be able to decide Berry's fate, potentially, anyways have a good day/night!
THERE’S SO MANY PKMN (and unova pkmn??????) IN SWSH I NEED ALL OF THEM
pkmn p/d was my first pokemon game and it was a bitch. fuck gardenia if you had a piplup. get a ponyta the only other fire pokemon besides chimchar in the game xx or a starly
kabu,,, my manlet king... im coming
It will forever frustrate me that Sardward and Shieldbert were made to represent the descendants to the kings of Galar… when Hop and Leon are LITERALLY RIGHT THERE!
Like I thought we were going to get the plot twist that they learn their heritage they thought they had was a lie told to them by their family (Kind of like Pacifica's family in Gravity Falls) and it be revealed Hop and Leon are actually the true descendants. Like it felt like they were hinting it!
-The fact they both have purple hair and the color purple mainly represents royalty
-The fact they both have gold eyes that could show their connection to Zacian and Zamazenta. The only characters in Sword and Shield who have gold eyes mind you! (Also the fact the Doggo's color schemes when you blend them make purple)
-The fact that the first statue of the Hero of Galar we see has a striking resemblance to Leon with his long hair and his pose kind of looking like Leon's charizard pose!
-Leon’s entire king motif!
-How their hair can kind of be a reflection to a sword and shield with Leon being the shield and Hop being the sword in a way that doesn’t look like they insulted their hairdresser and they gave them the horrible hairstyles as payback… (Admittedly Hop's is a bit more of a stretch but Leon's is 100% a lot like a shield given the little hair swoops and the length of it.)
-Not to mention how their personalities kind of represent it to with Leon being the protector of Galar and all those he loves and cares about. The Shield, and Hop when he thinks someone he loves and cares about is in danger goes all out in attack mode without thinking. The Sword.
Anyway the lesson being at the end the two with the goofy hair realizing they shouldn't be basing their entire identities and achievements off of their ancestors because they rob themselves of their own lives and achievements... which I think that was their lesson anyway? It's been a while since I played that part of Sword and Shield but it really would have especially hit harder for them to be hit with that lie and them deciding to find themselves and it actually strengthen their own bonds as brothers because they're not trying to act like their ancestors they were so obsessively proud of all that time. They act like themselves from now on. The game does show they care about each other so that would be a sweet end for the goofs. (And maybe have them decide to change their hair too like please... please boys fix your hair...)
Then Leon and Hop learn they're the true descendants and they're like "Wow that's cool! Doesn't really change a thing for us or who we are though. We love the paths we've chosen and our bond as brothers is because we love and would do anything for each other even before knowing this!" And they're just happy that other brother is safe. Leon confirming he's proud of Hop no matter what path he takes and considers him his rival and Hop just being shooketh and then so happy which makes Leon extra happy. They're all happy, everyone's happy with their lives and their bonds are stronger than ever.
The End
...Sorry, I'm just really passionate about this sort of thing and Leon and Hop are my favorite characters in the Pokémon series with SWSH being my favorite game for a number of reasons. I just see so many story opportunities there but it isn't taken as someone who loves this stuff it hurts... 🥲
I Love How they Animate Leon When He Locks In
Mega intense, extra passionate, intimidating if not kinda a little terrifying. Like such a big contrast from usually how goofy and silly he can be.
I'm glad they show both sides of him. Leon can be both a silly, loving big bro and a mega intense to the point of terrifying battler.
The battle loving smile at the top especially makes me think he and Nemona for sure get along great. Was so fun to see them paired as a team in one of the events in Pokemon Masters Ex!
You Know... Sometimes I Wonder About How Our Giovanni Feels About Rainbow Rocket Giovanni...
Okay… so Red or Leaf beat our Giovanni. He decides to disband Team Rocket, in some endings he even finds his love for battling again, has a change of heart and seems to want to escape his life of being a Poké Villain to just start anew.
Is he still breaking the law by escaping? Yep but at least he seems to want to just keep to himself and not cause trouble. (And being a deadbeat dad)
THEN IN COMES THIS RANDO GUY FROM A WHOLE OTHER DIMENSION WITH HIS FACE AND NAME AND EVEN THE POKÉMON HE COULDN’T EVEN CATCH CAUSING MORE HAVOC AND EVERYONE JUST ASSUMES IT'S HIM!
Like....Do you think his pride is just stewing in frustration? That this guy actually succeeded and now is essentially taking his whole life and work he created himself?
You think he’s annoyed that this guy is essentially making his charges against him even longer so if he DOES get caught he has to deal with it? Because let's be real, Rainbow Giovanni would do that 100% because everyone in the games talks about Rainbow Giovanni like he's Our Giovanni when HE ISN'T!
Which bugs me so much because he isn't Our Giovanni. Ours seems like he's chill now since we haven't heard of him causing problems since he decided to just up and leave. So the fact we haven't gotten to see his reaction, especially if he is just trying to live a normal life feels like a missed opportunity.
Also a hilarious one too, like I can see this dude crashing in ticked off and everyone is shocked that there's two Giovanni's and it becomes that spiderman meme.
I'm guessing they just kind of.... forgot.
