Devi's paralysis demon does not enjoy intruders.

tempted to make this some mini fanfic. its still devnny week. >.> <.< totally not a whole new month.

Devi is continuously late to work because some horrific monster is terrorizing the streets. causing roads to be closed. after being repeatedly warned, her boss threatens to fire her. being the only competent one in town she tries solving the monster problem herself. suddenly discovering its johnny, she lures him home with a half bag of stale donuts in her car. expecting a horrifying monster she'd have to kill somehow with a makeshift home alone style trap. figuring out that its more of having a mangy stray cat that steals food off her plate if she doesn't watch it. she has developed sleep issues, unintentionally caused. first it was anxiety having johnny around, in general. then it became she needs him to sleep on the bed. after he repeatedly sneaks out when he doesn't. terrorizing the town again or sobbing in some alley way she has to find him in. slowly she figures out what his condition is and its strange effect on people. attracting quite the amount of assholes out of the woodwork of her apartment building. the concerning amount of worms infesting his body are actually just his own blood veins and tendons reacting aggressively toward others he hates. bones twisting free, new teeth, muscles snapping to reform. he commonly flings himself in a far away leap. only to horribly land in a fleshy splattered mulch pile that snaps itself together before skittering off. she never sees him eat in any way. his mouth stuck in a permanent grin locked shut. he cant even talk. yet food still goes missing. she eventually learns how hes feeling or "saying" by twitchy body language. still there's the major question of how he got this way.

I always took the last page of JTHM where Devi is standing and looking jaded in a door way to be her investigating if Johnny really left town. So here's a shot of her checking Nny's empty house and finding the tape he recorded for her.

Alright, I'm doing it! Devnny week 2026! I don't have time to do it daily, but I still really wanted to do it so I’ll be doing it weekly. It’s more like Devnny weeks.

First day, Johnny gifts Devi a bouquet of paintbrushes. He's so embarrassed he's ready to combust, and Devi is shocked by the thoughtfulness and how cute he's being and FUCK did she really just think Nny is cute?
