The “jokes” made by Steve and Pablo were very distasteful tbh, and I understand the frustration I’ve seen others talked about. I haven’t seen it yet, but that could be because of me posting Dying Light a lot. Despite that, I’m still excited to see how the KIM system would be like for them and going off the experience from the Hex, it has made me pretty confident in their writing and excited to see how these characters would be like. I really loved how the Hex were and loved how it didn’t pushed or constantly tried to push a romance with your character. It just treated them like a person and it was only up to you if you wanted to pursue a romance with them. Unlike bg3 where it constantly pushed romantic pursuits with your Tav and that always made me feel so uncomfortable, and felt like the writers were trying to turn it into a dating sim than treat it like a story. I’m hoping they kept it the same with the Triad like with the Hex because I know a lot of people would love to romance them, but I do feel there’s been a lot of focus on the romance aspects than anything else really from other players mainly.
But either way, I am super excited to see the Old Peace and Narmer coming back while they invade Hell itself. I did love how when choosing the game modes it switches from Operator to Drifter. That was such a World Premiere moment.
