Voltage

B: Commencing an emergency Dew Review today again from the Eldorado State Park in Colorado. I am commencing an emergency Dew Review on the Mountain Dew Voltage, which I have had before, but it's been such a long time that I don't remember what it tastes like, so this is all off the dome. Voltage's packaging is predominantly blue and red.

This Mountain Dew’s art features a mad scientist with fucking sick lightning hair, a Cyclops-from-X-Men-style visor, and a smile reminiscence of Junkrat. He's holding a tesseract made out of raspberries, and on the other side of the Mountain Dew logo is more tesseract raspberries throwing off lightning and some Frankenstein-style Tesla coils.

The dew itself is very translucent. It's very reminiscent of Windex. It's a nice translucent blue, like a sky blue, and when I opened it it was pretty full, which I do appreciate. It wasn't, like, very far down in the bottle like some of them have been. This one expires August 15th, 2022 which is a little concerning, but it's okay ‘cause it's only June. It smells like Mountain Dew and smells a little like blue raspberry, which is the flavor so it's right on the money. And now I will go ahead and give it a taste. I already tasted it a little bit because, again, this is an emergency Dew Review.

My blood sugar is low so let's go!

There's a little bit of that citrussy Mountain Dew flavor on the package. It says that it's charged with raspberry citrus flavor and ginseng. I don't think I know what ginseng tastes like, and I don't think I could pick it out from this flavor. It's blue raspberry— I can definitely taste the blue raspberry— it certainly is there. It reminds me of— okay, and humor me on this— when the Chris Pratt Jurassic Park movie just came out, I went to a Walgreens— shout out to Walgreens— that had, like, a— it was like a blue raspberry marshmallow dinosaur egg that was Jurassic Park branded, but that's what it tastes like. It tastes like the blue raspberry marshmallow dinosaur egg from Walgreens that I had once in like 2015. Anyway!! It's good.

Baja Gold

B: And now comes the long-awaited review of a product that I had taken a survey for many, many years ago. I used to do focus group surveys for Amazon gift cards because I thought that that was a viable way to make money. I was 20, in my defense. But I was reached out to about a product called Mountain Dew Gold. At the time, it was pitched as a Mountain Dew in a glass bottle. I think it wasn't meant to be any specific flavor; it was just Mountain Dew in a glass bottle. This product, however, is called Mountain Dew Baja Gold with a blast of natural and artificial pineapple flavor. I am enjoying this out of a can because I could only find it in a 12 pack.

The can is predominantly a yellow and aqua color scheme— I believe all of the Baja products have that aqua color— and the art features a ye olde fashioned scuba diver with the scary Port helmet and the helmet is designed to look like a pineapple and has a little pineapple leaf bunch on top the scuba diver is holding a trident and is writing in on a wave and gearing up to stab a pile of pineapples and gold and pearls and what looks to be an Aztec calendar and on the other side of the can features a parrot wearing a pirate hat. The smell of this smells similar to pineapple Fanta which I'm not surprised because they're both pineapple sodas it has that bit of citrus from the mountain dew flavor but it doesn't smell like orange like the mango did it's quite a refreshing smell I like it I wouldn't mind having that as like a car air freshener or something. Now let's get to tasting kshh that's the sound of me opening up the can. 

I am hit with a refreshing amount of effervescence they finally did it they made a specialty soda flavor with enough bubbles where I'm not fighting for my life like I I do with or I used to do with mountain dew but it's not it's not the level of flatness that the other flavors have come to be. The flavor it's good it's beautiful I'm in love with it it's pineapple it's sweet but it's not as sweet as pineapple Fanta which I enjoy I like that. I love the flavor I like that it comes in a can I like that it's yellow I like that it is called mountain dew Baja gold as I was really really looking forward to trying mountain dew gold but unfortunately I guess I did not meet the specifications and they never sent me one after my survey. And because it does come in a can it is 44 carbohydrates instead of the usual 76ish that the bottles have which I feel is a much more manageable amount of sugar but at the same time because it is in a can you can't really close it and save it for later.

So thanks to my poor impulse control, I found out that little Caesars now has its own mountain dew flavor called mango Rush with a blast of natural flavors mango sweet heat flavor so I'm thinking this might be a spicy flavor like flaming hot was? The can looks pretty cool, it's got the Little Caesars Greco-Roman designs at the top, and then the art of the can is like a waterfall with orange mountains, white water and green trees and there's a mango going down the waterfall and it's on fire. Little Caesar himself is in a kayak made out of half a mango and he's eating his little pizza. And this only comes in a can so but it's it's like a big can it's like halfway between like a regular soda can and Arizona green tea.

All right let's get this a smell… Smells like mangoes. So I gave it a taste!

It tastes like mango. I'm not getting spicy at all with this not sure what the intended effect was but I don't think I'm getting it. But then again I also didn't get the cooling effect with Sprite chill so maybe something's wrong with me.

All in all it's pretty good it does taste like mango-like an artificial mango. I've got two cans here so I'll save one for Chase and IDK if Mantis has a Little Caesars nearby maybe I'll have to mail one to it.

Flamin’ Hot

B: Coming straight from the outdoors, today I will be reviewing the mountain dew Flamin' Hot flavor. This monster features a little fireball guy similar to Don Patch from the hit series Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. There is a caution warning that says, ‘Caution: flamin’ hot taste’ with the picture of a lemon on fire. The art also boasts a predominantly green, yellow, and red color palette and the flamin’ hot logo is a lime on fire. Underneath the flamin’ hot logo it says, ‘With a blast of heat and citrus flavor with other natural flavors.’ This bad mama-jama boasts a total of 74 carbs, and I doubt I will be drinking the entire thing, but I do have a co-host here today: one Chase ‘the beast’ Denise (not their actual last name). What does this fucking taste like? I will open it now.

C: It reminds me of flaming hot cheetos, which I don't know if it's supposed to be or not. (edit: of fucking course it is)

B: And when I opened it the bubbles were a bright orange. It also had a very good crisp sound but that could be due to the fact that I did drop it and also we are at a higher elevation

Let's get to sniffing-- this smells nothing like mountain dew smell

C: I was expecting, like, a cinnamon smell but it's more like a faint citrussy smell.

B: And now the taste test. It just tastes like normal mountain dew. There's a slight burn at the end, which is similar to that one Pepsi product that they made— or was it Coke? It was like, spicy cherry flavor. I don't taste the flamin’ hot, it's mostly just like a burning in the back of my throat.

C: Yeah it very immediately hits with like, the lemon and the lime or whatever fucking flavor it is— the mountain dew flavor— and then there's a very, very faint burning, I guess. I guess so. Maybe it's like with Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, where you have to eat like a bunch of them for the spice to build up. I don't know if I like it. It's not bad. I was expecting more hot. Kind of disappointed, yeah... It's not flamin’ hot. They warned me, and their warning was false. I guess it lingers a bit. You know what though, I don't want my sodas to burn my mouth. I usually drink sodas to cool my mouth.

B: As for effervescence, the gimmick mountain dew flavors are usually pretty disappointing. I like to fight for my life when I'm drinking a mountain dew. This one has a medium effervescence. It's there. It's not as— it's not as present as classic mountain dew, but it's also not as absent as the other flavors I've reviewed. My rating is… ehhhhh… bad…

BAJA MANGO GEM

Today I have the pleasure of reviewing Mountain Dew Baja Mango Gem

I will be reviewing it from a can as i had to buy an entire case to try this and the upcoming flavor.

it smells like orange fanta, i'm unsure if theres any orange in this but theres only one way to find out

bottoms up and the devil laughs

its good. tastes more like orange than anything else which is kind of disappointing but its at leaset something i wouldnt mind having to drink 12 of.

the effervescence again is disappointing its barely there, i think mountain dew needs to go back to its roots and make me fight for my life to drink their products.

CODE RED

Today for our featured flavor is cult classic, Code Red

So I have never personally tasted code red before. I had not tried it by the time I had came out as diabetic and therefore had never been able to safely drink it but today we will be tasting it and we will see if it truly is... red.

The mountain dew Code Red bottle has changed art and appearance over the years it now sports the classic twist-type bottle that mountain dew products wear.

The featured artist has chosen to represent the bombastic cherry flavor by creating a large scaly Godzilla type furry man holding a cherry and also some cherries that might be on fire and do have some spikes

Overall I'd say the aesthetic is pretty on point it looks like reaper OverWatch and it looks like classic gamer juice

We will now take a moment to smell and taste code Red mountain dew

It smells of red

It smells like classic red Gatorade it's the smell that it alludes to Cherry but more so it is just red

I will now give it a taste

Very good it tastes red as well I am not personally a fan of cherry flavors but as far as Cherry flavors go I'd say this is less cherry and more red and I am a fan of red

This bad boy sports up to 76 g of sugar so I will not be partaking all of it at once but I did buy a zero sugar mountain dew zero sugar spark which is the lemonade which I have done review on previously please refer back to it for notes

THRASHED APPLE

Hello everyone welcome back to the one and only show for mountain dew and mountain dew related reviews: Dew  Review .Today for our featured flavor is the new addition to the dew line of products, Thrashed Apple.

Enjoy those free feet pics, I couldn't see them in discord's viewfinder

The art on the bottle is a little scary if I'm honest. It's very reminiscent of the early apple jax commercials. It also doesn't stand out as much as their other artist bottles but at the end of it all it comes down to the flavor

Now this bottle is one serving of 20fl oz and contains a whopping 73 carbohydrates so I'll only be taking a few sips before it lands me in the hospital. Now let's crack this bad mamajamma open and see what we're working with

Starting off with a strong fizz, this worryingly pale green ichor does have a strong effervescence, which was something I felt spark and livewire we're lacking.

The smell is slightly concerning if I'm honest it smells like a sour apple sucker but if the sucker was also rubber.

I'm going in for a taste now stand by…

It tastes like if martinellis apple cider was a little more sour and a little more sweet. That big kick of effervescence I saw at the beginning has unfortunately completely petered out and is mostly flat.
