July 2018 Reverse Read-a-thon: Hours 21-24

Woot!  Woot!  I made it to the end!  I completed my second book with five minutes to spare.  I am now beat, but I’m going to try to stay awake a bit longer.  I am however, turning off all my gadgets and giving my eyes a rest from text and screens.  I’ll be back after some much needed rest for my wrap-up.  I hope everyone had as much fun as I did!

I know I've been pretty bad about sharing during the @deweysreadathon #reversereadathon #readathon. But I've been trying to read in amongst many distractions. So in this, my first post since yesterday's post about Jaws by Peter Benchley, I'm going to share the #ClosingSurvey! 😄❤ . . . . Closing Survey! . 1. Which hour was most daunting for you? Dawn. I just couldn't stay awake through dawn. So at around 5a, I went to sleep and slept for five hours. 😴 . . . . 2. Tell us ALLLLL the books you read! I only completed one. Jaws by Peter Benchley, completed last night (see Photo Two). I am still reading Persuasion by Jane Austen (see Photo One; I snapped this photo a couple of hours ago, during #snacktime); I only made it just past the halfway point in it during this 'thon. 😕 . . . . 3. Which books would you recommend to other Read-a-thoners? I'd recommend the Black Blade trilogy by Jennifer Estep, which I started during the April #Readathon and LOVED! . 4. How did you feel about this first-ever Reverse Readathon? Should we do it again? Yes, please! I loved the evening start time, for me - 5:00p; instead of the more usual 5:00a start time. . 5. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? Would you be interested in volunteering to help organize and prep in October? I will definitely participate again. A Dewey's 24-Hour Readathon was the first readathon I ever joined, and I've participated and will participate in every one ever since. 😊 . . . . For the #CheerstoBooks portion of this 'thon, I cheered on others - mostly here via Instagram, some on Twitter - for around three hours. I know the stopwatch shows nearly 3.5 hours (see Photo Three), but I forgot to pause it when I left Twitter to start writing this post. So, just THREE HOURS, probably. 🤔😉❤ . . . . And please consider this post my July 28th #deweyjuly and #jcfjuly post. For #deweyjuly, #WrapUp and #FinalStats, I only read around 457 pages and completed just one book, and read just over half of another. 😕 . . . . For #jcfjuly, the task is to share something #OldSchool. Both of the books I read are "old school," Jaws for the 1970s, Persuasion for the 1810s. 😄❤
