quick question, anyone who's taken contraception for period pain?
i always get super painful cramps to the point where it's debilitating and can't go on with my daily life. i went to the doctor last month and she gave me dexketoprofen, which worked wonders, i even forgot i was on my period. my doctor also told me i should go to the gynecologist to make sure there's nothing terribly wrong, and i went today and he said they could give me contraceptives, which would stop the pain altogether and make my periods last like one or two days. so anyway, what i wanted to ask is, for anyone who's had sorta the same issue and has taken contraception for period pain, is it really that helpful? like should i take it as well or just carry on with the dexketoprofen?
i know i should trust my doctor and stuff but i guess i wanna hear people's opinions and first hand experience too
