This might have been free like the motel ones, but it’s more fun to think a highway rest stop was exciting enough at some point to get it’s own souvenir specifically made for bragging to someone else that you had been there.
Instead of just being the slightly weird smelling place you pee and get fast food on a long drive

I haven’t felt like scanning anything lately, but here’s a motel for the people who enjoy that sort of thing.
The first card I bothered buying on eBay, because who could say no to this horrid nightmare bird.
The only thing weirder than it having existed in the first place is that it's still out there.
I still have no idea where this was mailed to in Europe, but I usually guess somewhere vaguely Poland-ish then give up trying to figure it out.
Oakland Mall’s always been “the mall” to me though, which makes it special despite being absolutely not when compared to some others in Metro Detroit. But unlike half of those it both still exists and this part is still recognizable as the fountain that has at least seven elderly men sitting around it at all times.
