Delia shrugged, "Delia doesn't know. She saw a little girl with a kitty and Merrida said the kitty was a pet and little girls have pets. Delia wants to have a pet." She frowned, "Merrida wouldn't tell Delia what a pet was."
Dexter arched a brow as she spoke. Merrida must be one of her friends that she hadn't mentioned to him. Now he was presented with the task of telling Delia what a pet was.
"Well a pet is a animal or something of that nature that is treated like a friend but taken care of like an animal. You have to feed and water them as well as give them a place to go to the bathroom."
Dexter leaned down and picked up Delia resting her on his hip while he stood. "Did you like Merrida's Kitty? Cats are good pets." Dexter had always been fond of cats.
