Des étudiants reçoivent 50 000 $ du fédéral pour concevoir des habitations urbaines écologiques et novatrices

McGill, le 6 Avril 2017

L’honorable Catherine McKenna, ministre de l’Environnement et du Changement climatique du Canada, a annoncé l’octroi d’une subvention de 50 000 dollars du Programme de recherche et de développement énergétiques (PRDE) de Ressources naturelles Canada afin d’aider TeamMTL à participer au concours international Solar Decathlon, qui aura lieu l’an prochain à Dezhou, en Chine.

Dezhou Fairview town of U.S.A. joins LED urban plan of Cree

Recently, Cree announces Fairview town located in Dezhou of U.S.A. has already joined LED urban plan. LED urban plan is a global special project, the purpose lies in the application that LED which advances the low energy consumption lights. This town four lanes of Fairview Parkway newly constructed is designed by LED illumination specially, 82 LED street lamps which light it are offered by constituent company EvoLucia of the Sunovia energy science and technology.

This batch of Sunovia lamps and lanterns adopts XLamp&reg of Cree; MC-E LED, as the light source, the average service life is 12 years. Compared with traditional Metal Halide Lamp, this batch of lights can save 50% of the electricity consumption. The chief of town Israeloff points out, these LED lamps can save electric rate of 250,000 dollars within its service life for the taxpayer. This section of new lanes are scheduled to adopt the high-pressure gas discharge lamp to light, nowadays adopt the LED lamp, annual carbon discharge amount can be reduced by 1,000 pounds.

In addition, this batch of street lamps adopt advanced optical technology, add the high directivity of LED light source, place where we can make the accurate arrival of the light need lighting. Guarantee the illumination on the street is very even in this way, and dispel lighting blind angle and needless light pollution.

Until the intersection of LED and success in Fairview Parkway try, town this plan in bureau of fire protection that this year build newly and install the LED lamp on town hall that next midyear complete also.
