One of my classes is called “Literary samizdat, independent literature and generation of dissidents of Central and Eastern Europe”. During last class we were listening music which was highly inconvenient for a communist regime. Underground bands like The Plastic People of the Universe, DG 307, Umělá hmota, Psí vojáci or Garáž were in contrast to popular (and under pressure of communism in Czechoslovakia) pop singers like Helena Vondráčková. Being a member of underground bands or even just a participant of their concerts was associated with a risk - you could have been arrested, beaten, etc.
DG 307 - Live in Postupice (1974)
Rare video from secret underground music festival in Czechoslovakia 1974. There played great bands like DG 307, Plastic People of the Universe or Sen noci svatojánské.
