brotzly is canon because when tina asked farah if todd and dirk were a thing its actually a direct parallel to when todd asks silas if him and panto are a thing

btw, here's a neat visual parallel i've never noticed till my friend lina pointed it out to me!
Dirk Gently is one of favorite show ever and I drew shockingly few piece about it.
I know Dirk has the rep of being the one who jumps headfirst into the friendship but also, when you actually step back:
What Dirk’s context for the friendship was:
• be hired for case
• on first day, run into a copy of yourself who is clearly temporally displaced; he is with a guy and he points at the guy and says “that’s your best friend!! Here’s his address!!”
• track the guy down and engage him in case, knowing that a future version of you sees him as a best friend and he at very least will be present when you are where you need to be in the future
• slowly get to know him and form a friendship with him based on more than just being informed that he’s going to be your friend
Whereas the context for Todd was:
• be depressed
• guy breaks into your house and starts stalking you
• tell him to leave you alone. He doesn’t lol
• spend 2-3 days around him nearly getting killed in increasingly gory ways due to his bullshit
• go on a road trip and literally tell him your deepest darkest secret and lifebond with him like an otter
when you're trying to be a normal human man 🙋♂️
the wonder and pure joy in dirk’s face when farah tells him that she’s starting to think that he’s a pretty good detective still makes me so emotional. i’d bet my soul that no one had ever told him that before.
'what doesn't kill you-' 'makes you hurt real bad and makes you cry' is the most relatable line
Update on my rewatch with my mom:
We were watching episode 9, when Bart gets her super cool chainsaw, and my mom straight up said: "She should cut Suzie with that."
