I gotta come back to 227 for a bit because the fact that Allen could call Kanda fragile to his face and still lives to tell the tale is just– SO TELLING for their entire relationship now, all the progress they’ve made, with Kanda still wanting to land a punch but understanding the delicate situation he’s in, having to break the news about Tim. and then Allen himself, I mean he’s always wanted to protect his fellow ‘weaker’ exorcists cause he’s just– he’s that kinda guy, like a martyr (which endlessly annoyed Kanda (remember the first arc at mater IM JUST SAYING) but now its different cause he’s SEEN Kanda like literally fall apart and he doesn’t want it to happen again because of HIM and I think Kanda understands that too- like in the end fragile isn’t like- degrading but instead means ALLEN WANTS TO PROTECT him the same way Kanda wants to protect Allen after what he sacrificed to get him and Alma away from the order.

Idk. That sweet sweet subtle BUT STILL COMPLETELY IN YOUR FACE character development is just making me want to bawl. Bless u hoshino.
