INSTAGRAM CHIC: LADY GAGA IN KANSAI YAMAMOTO, D’HEYGERE, AUSTIN JAMES SMITH & MARC JACOBS
Lady Gaga is back in Japan after six years! The superstar is expected to perform two “Chromatica Ball” shows in Tokorozawa’s Belluna Dome this weekend. Check out her arrival look below!
It was only right for our girl to pay tribute to her favorite Japanese designer Kansai Yamamoto, who passed in July 2020. This super fun, psychedelic printed silk button-up blouse and wide-legged pants were seen on his 2021 runway - the world’s first ever runway show at Tokyo’s iconic Shibuya Crossing.
"March this year marks ten years since the Great East Japan Earthquake, our recovery of everyday life from the COVID pandemic since last year, and our new voyage after Kansai’s passing. We instilled our hope for tomorrow in many levels in creating clothes with the image of people coming and going through Shibuya." - Quenta Takaya, the long-time student of the pioneering and recently departed fashion designer said.
One of her mismatched earrings is Austin James Smith’s sterling silver Chain Cutlass single earring ($190), also available in gold.
