25. Video game you wish you could burn from your memory

Hm. I’ve played a lot of bad games in my time but I think if I could erase one game from my memory forever it would be The Samaritan Paradox, because it was so interesting right up until the end when it got horrifying and gross for no reason.

30. Why do you game?

I’m definitely a story-oriented gamer. I like to explore and uncover lore about the world, and learn about and grow with characters. There’s something about feeling responsible even if nothing can ever actually change that helps me to get into a story.

“A game that holds a special place in your heart”

Definitely The Longest Journey. It was a game that I really needed when I played it, and even though it hasn’t aged well at all, it still sticks with me. I was about the same age as April (the main character) when I played it and while our circumstances were different (since I can’t travel between dimensions lmao) I really identified with her stepping out into a new world of responsibilities, and the way that she felt she’d never belonged anywhere. There’s a part where she has a dream where a “shadow” version of herself is telling her that she’s everything that she’s afraid of, and the game goes on to show that it’s not true and how much her friends love her, and it still makes me bawl lmao.
