The Rolling Stone UK has released a new interview with Joe Pelling and Baker Terry! Includes Exclusive Photos!
The creators of ‘Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared’ on bringing the new series of their cult psychedelic comedy horror puppet show to Channel 4.
This doesn’t have any spoilers for the tv show that I can find but does include an exclusive photo of yellow guy, but it’s pretty much something we have already seen in the official promo
The interview also includes this fantastic line: “Yellow Guy is quite optimistic and idiotic, Duck is cynical and fussy, and Red Guy is just sort of thinking ‘What am I even doing here?’ He’s the middleman,” says Pelling. Terry, on the other hand, describes them simply as: “Kindly moron, fussy asshole, and the avatar of the audience.”

I’m gonna to talk a little bit about the latter of the two as it discusses Lesley
Lesley apparently isn’t human, or at least Joe and Becky don’t think she is, fully at least and they made her to be a sort of half puppet/half human character and Joe suggests that maybe someone is in charge of her as well, perhaps Roy or another character?
Just the the sentence, “As arguably the most tortured soul in the group, many fans have grown very protective of Yellow Guy during the storied history of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared”

I guess they made Yellow Guy be the one to try to find answers rather than Red Guy this time around because Yellow Guy seems to be the best candidate to do so as he’s sees the world differently than the other two, good for him!
I kinda figured that the stair case was a notion for a never ending journey, like no matter how many stairs you climb, there will still be more stairs. So it’s nice to have that kinda confirmed for me
Also good to know that they may continue Yellow Guy’s journey in future installments someday, rather it be a season 2, the original format, or by another medium
