It was not the first time that Renaud had watched the Danish king train with his sword, nor would it be the last, if he were to guess. Patience was one of Renaud's strongest virtues and he waited until the king was finished before approaching, his steps causing small stones to crack beneath his weight. No danger of sneaking up on the King, no danger of ending up with a sword at his throat.
"I must say, I'm impressed with the skill of Denmark's fighters. When I learned you were the king and not a soldier, I was more surprised." The family, or what he'd seen of it, at least, all behaved as if they expected to be attacked at any moment, and like they were prepared to win the fight, something that came across as unexpected to Renaud.
