Hey guys.
I know I haven't been around for a while, I had to withdraw a bit for my mental health. Things have been... Hard here.
Aegon's been vomiting intermittently since January. It started as one or two incidences, and then became more common. It was only after breakfast and I was thinking it was either him doing too much after eating or Nyra bothering him. But then it started to become more common, and happened when Nyra was nowhere near him. He'd also be laying alone on my bed.
So I got him an appointment at my regular vet. They didn't examine him, didn't run any tests at all, and even tossed the fecal sample I brought. They said it sounded like he just had too much acid going on in his stomach and told me to put him on Prilosec.
That was almost three weeks ago.
I continued to separate him from Nyra when eating, like I always did, and started giving him Prilosec.
He knew I was trying to help him. There were times when I'd be in the middle of making dinner and had forgotten to get his pill and he'd come and ask for it the same way he'd tell me to take my own meds.
But then he threw up just laying on my bed quietly before even eating breakfast.
Every instance it was undigested food.
Immediately called the vet, they told me to take him to UC. Took him in a week ago this past Thursday. They ran blood tests, and would have ultrasounded him had he not eaten that morning. They also wanted to do urinalysis but couldn't catch any that day.
All well and good because I asked for an estimate for the ultrasound that day and it would have run between 800-2300. Just the appointment where they ran the blood was over 900.
Just as a reminder, on disability I make $1040 a MONTH. And I am no longer guaranteed that with Rump in power here.
I have a donation fund for his care up on my Ko-Fi shop, as well as prints for sale from my convention days and commission information.

Last night I finally got the blood test results from the vet and it says he has something going on in his intestines and definitely needs the ultrasound/biopsy to figure out what is going on because everything was "nonspecific".
I am hoping to bring him in tomorrow to get it done, but paying for it will wipe me out and I still have to pay rent and get my own meds plus buy food for myself, Goose and both dogs.
Please help anyway you can, even if it's just a reblog. Aegon is still in his prime and should have 7-8 more good years left. He is not just a dog, he is my service dog. He is my lifeline, Nyra's teacher, my best friend. He's saved my life numerous times and he deserves it.
