Convention goodies post, featuring both my and @dyemelikeasunset‘s stuff!!!

We actually got a few things shown here around Seattle, such as Kinokuniya or Elliot Bay Book Company in Capitol Hill. We were so happy to find merch (like the Art of Sanjay’s Superteam, Kase-san, and the Idolmaster keychains were at Kino, and Starforce was at the bookstore!) we were searching for, even if it was totally outside the convention!

shoutout to @clarevoience for working the ONLY booth with the MKR keychains I was looking for!! +__+ IT’S EXTRA SPECIAL NOW TBH bc i’m a sentimental fool.

I was a bad bee and bought two more sketchbooks because I really love them and it’s fine bc I’ll use them eventually!!! PRACTICAL PURCHASE! 8//) ALSO LOOK AT MY HAMSTER PURSE ISN’T IT THE BEST THING EVER. My sister gave me the most gorgeous jupiter necklace and I’ll see if she remembers the seller’s name. I also got a signed Miliyah poster from the concert from her!

This image shows Faraday’s original diamagnetic apparatus, which is still in place in the laboratory space within the Faraday Museum at the Ri.

The electro-magnet below the desk was made from a half a link of an anchor chain (which Faraday obtained from the whalers 'Enderby' operating out of Greenwich) wound with insulated wire.

On 4 November 1845, Faraday discovered that a piece of heavy glass when hung between the poles of an electro-magnet aligned itself equatorially between the poles when the current was on. This he noted would probably allow him to extend dimagnetic properties into opaque bodies. 

This is his discovery of the diamagnetic condition in a transparent ponderable body.
