April so far! Hi tumblr users and followers, my apologies for being MIA… I definitely ghost a lot of things in my life from time to time. Right or wrong it happens. This month I have been participating in @tenshi.world (Instagram) ‘s April drawing challenge. It’s been nice to task myself with a daily drawing and prompts laid out for me. BUT lol drawing traditionally has been harder than I thought it’d be. Finishing a piece with colored pencils or crayons or heck Copic markers has been interesting. And definitely inspiring me to keep at it because I don’t wanna suck I went to art school and am a traditionally trained fine artist… 😭

I have been actively listening to black musical artists because I want to support art and artists from my community. We don’t get enough love. And if we don’t love ourselves who else will in this anti black world? Recently my playlist has consisted of Arlo Parks, Hannah Jadagu and REIL. Check em out also let me know if you have anything you’d like to shout out to me!!

Also would like to state that I am no longer a fan of BTS… their anti blackness has really broken all the faith I used to have in them.

My copy of the final volume of Lover Boy by Zec arrived the other day and I’m so happy to have a complete set in English. You know I love something if I also purchase it in my native language. I tend to only buy my favorites in their native languages publications. Lucky for me I read Korean and Japanese 😂 although with my interests in Chinese Danmei I may need to pick up from of the language. Especially since the artists selected for the Chinese and Taiwanese editions tend to select artists whose work makes my heart pound. Breathtakingly gorgeous.

I woke up and went to get a free scoop of dairy free Ben and Jerry’s Tuesday. Was a good decision. But I’m still thinking of the nondairy Key Lime Pie flavor I left behind.
