The kitchen I’m using here is from the CWSS mod - though, the version I’m using is an older one, not the most recent (probably should update but that’s a bit like work...). I’m not 100% sure if it’s completely the same as in the new version, but it should be similar, at least.

(There are a few glitches - the fridge slot can’t actually take a fridge, and the cooker has that odd extension stuck out of the front of it - but it’s mostly quite good, and the glitched bits don’t affect the overall visuals too much in my view.)

Obsidian must be rubbing their hands with glee; the timing on this particular fiasco is just spot on for them.

Bits of it are OK? I like my inverted-ziggurat house and my PA collection. That said, a lot of the rest of the game has major issues. If, instead of this, BGS had devoted their efforts to a major stability-and-performance update ... but eh, that’s not what they did.

TBH I think I’m largely done with Fo76 now. My main worry, really is what exactly this huge mess implies for Elder Scrolls VI. Nothing good, I suspect.

Vault 88 is in a very odd place. It’s apaprently built in chalk, at least if what’s in Quincy Quarry is any guide. And it’s nearly directly under Murkwater, which is one of the most waterlogged “inland” areas of the Commonwealth. Chalk is absolutely not water-tight, and it’s also notoriously-soft - but also quite heavy. The stuff that surrounds Vault 88 is basically close to the Platonic ideal of “useless”, from a structural point of view. It, uh, basically should be a very large aquifer!

In fairness I suppose that Murkwater might not have been as wet back in 2077. I mean, there seems to be a suggestion that the combination of nuclear war, subsequent Black Rain and (presumably) the concomitant collapse in vegetation-cover on the land has permanently-changed the climate. (There’s no apparently winter season in the Commonwealth, in Fo76 none of the mountains have any snow cover - not even the ones that were formerly ski resorts - and in Fo3 it never rains. Plus, large areas of the Commonwealth are apparently now below the water level, so either the land has fallen [unlikely] or the sea has risen).

Actually, thinking about it, to make things even weirder, Vault 88 literally has a cavern that’s half-flooded - that’s where the water plant is - and it’s never explained why it’s only *half* flooded.

So far the consensus seems to be that caffe latte is fine up to about 25 C. At higher temperatures it might still be fine, depending on your level of caffeine withdrawal, but at least one of the characters is acknowledging that there are potentially legitimate grounds for debate on high-T coffee-consumption.

I tried ME:A’s multiplayer, and didn’t enjoy it. It was surprising in some ways, as ME3MP was the bit they mostly got right. ME:A’s multi had all the bugs, broken random-drop tables, weird lag issues and bad net-coding that ME3′s did, and none of the charm.

I think I played about three games, then gave up on it.

But yes, actually, you raise some very good points. If Anthem is hanging off of a perma-online mode, then it’s going to be a mass of lag problems. Particularly if the post-net-neutrality Americans start randomly-throttling things!

And rubber-banding in the middle of some of these aerial jet-pack maneouvres - yikes! Honestly, that could literally make me lose my lunch :S

(I wonder if Anthem is going to end up giving people motion-nausea? It looks like it’s a possibility. Lag, poor/variable frame-rates, etc. etc.)

awww. ): i would definitely be out of luck if i didn’t have a console. no computer i’ve ever owned has ever been able to handle a bioware game. unless that bioware game is KOTOR, probably.
