Diary Of A Reflecting Generation (Part 2)
I woke up about two hours ago and couldn't go back to sleep. I remembered starting a series titled #DiaryOfAReflectingGeneration a little while ago to vent my frustrations and create a platform for like-minded individuals to talk about stuff. The one constant thing in life is change! There's always going to be something different happening in our lives. About this time last year, I was preparing for my trip to South Korea and it's so amazing to think a year has come and gone and to say I learned a lot in 2015 is an understatement. Now, I fully understand the statement, "people come into our lives for a reason, a season, and to stay." I met an Indian girl in Korea and she's one of the sweetest beings I know. When I left home, I made my hair into braids so no-one there really knew what my hair was like. The day I took out one of my braids to re-do, she was shocked and I found that endearing(cute). She wanted to feel it, know how it's attached, she couldn't believe it wasn't my real hair. Surprisingly, she called her parents at home and told them about my hair. Very fascinating right! This experience made me realize, we learn everyday and we can't take things for granted. The fact that we know something means we have been handed the opportunity, we shouldn't laugh at the ignorance of other people. They did not choose not to know, or at least not everyone. Having said that, I'd like to encourage us, to teach when we can and be willing to learn everyday. #DiaryOfAReflectingGeneration #Part2 #ChangeBeginsWithYou #MakeItYourResponsibility #Educate #Resolutions #Goals #2016
