“When you see these shootings, does it make you think that maybe that’s a better discussion to be having right now than the politics of email?”
A relaxed day after church!!! First time jetskiing and I did pretty good Floating on the other hand was a very bumpy ride and I fell in the lake, for a second I thought I'd drown because I can't swim but of course I had the life jacket on. Very very fun experience, Up next.....Skydiving 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 #Adventures #AdventureSeeker #HappySunday #IllMissYouAmbre #62616 (at Bay Point, Marblehead, Ohio)
I met God today. And He wasn’t angry. And He wasn’t disappointed. And He wasn’t upset. Just hopeful. Just patient. Just forgiving. Just what I’m not. I met God today. And He told me that He’d always be there. And He told me I need to stop trying so hard. And He told me that He loves me. I met God today. And I cried. And He held me tightly. And I was confused. I met God today. He was nothing like the world says He is. He is infinitely more. He surpasses everything. He said I didn’t need to know everything. I met God today. I listened. I learned. I was wrong about many things. I didn’t meet God today. God met me.

Diary Of A Reflecting Generation (Part 2)
I woke up about two hours ago and couldn't go back to sleep. I remembered starting a series titled #DiaryOfAReflectingGeneration a little while ago to vent my frustrations and create a platform for like-minded individuals to talk about stuff. The one constant thing in life is change! There's always going to be something different happening in our lives. About this time last year, I was preparing for my trip to South Korea and it's so amazing to think a year has come and gone and to say I learned a lot in 2015 is an understatement. Now, I fully understand the statement, "people come into our lives for a reason, a season, and to stay." I met an Indian girl in Korea and she's one of the sweetest beings I know. When I left home, I made my hair into braids so no-one there really knew what my hair was like. The day I took out one of my braids to re-do, she was shocked and I found that endearing(cute). She wanted to feel it, know how it's attached, she couldn't believe it wasn't my real hair. Surprisingly, she called her parents at home and told them about my hair. Very fascinating right! This experience made me realize, we learn everyday and we can't take things for granted. The fact that we know something means we have been handed the opportunity, we shouldn't laugh at the ignorance of other people. They did not choose not to know, or at least not everyone. Having said that, I'd like to encourage us, to teach when we can and be willing to learn everyday. #DiaryOfAReflectingGeneration #Part2 #ChangeBeginsWithYou #MakeItYourResponsibility #Educate #Resolutions #Goals #2016
4 months spent in South Korea, best experience ever!
The Science of Art with @yosuke_ueno
To see more of Yosuke’s artwork, follow @yosuke_ueno on Instagram.
This interview was conducted in Japanese.
As a child, Yosuke Ueno (@yosuke_ueno) loved wowing his friends with his artwork, and it continues to be his biggest motivation to draw to this day. The characters he paints have an element of fantasy and reality, with big, disproportionate heads and porcelain-white faces — or sometimes their heads are shaped like the moon or flowers. The modern art creator from Tokyo draws inspiration from his daily encounters and his interest in science. “I think there’s something in common between scientists and artists,” says Yosuke. “The act of conducting experiments to open up new frontiers and the challenge of creating work that goes beyond your imagination share the same spirit.” People categorize Yosuke’s artistic style as “pop surrealism,” but that is less of a concern for him. “My initial impulse was to make my friends happy with my work,” he says. “I just want to create art that beams with positive energy.”
Today is such a memorable day in the history of the United States of America not for a good event, but for something destructive that claimed the lives of many. I pray in my heart for the ones that were lost and for the families left behind. I pray for the peace of God to console them continuously. God bless America #EPluribusUnum #USA #911 (at Cleveland State University)
You're the change!
“How far the mighty has fallen.” The thought that runs through my head when I think about the situation the country of my birth is in. I heard from a ‘reliable’ source just recently that the tuition of a prestigious private university, Babcock University in Nigeria has increased by about 95%.
Departments who paid 500,000 Naira last semester now pay 950,000 Naira. Some people may say thats not a lot. But when you look at the current economic status you’d know this is a very bad change coming at such a trying time when most people are feeding from “hand to mouth.”
The parents called a meeting to speak to the vice chancellor regarding this development and guess what he had to say. “Students who cannot afford the fees are free to drop-out.” These children are the leaders of tomorrow. Couldn’t he reply in a different way? This is the question that I’ve been pondering.
This is an institution owned by a church, it is supposedly a non-profit organization. The leaders should be more diplomatic in their response on such a touchy subject. Rather, he tells them to ‘drop out.’ I’m highly disappointed!
Everyone wants change. I can imagine this same man complaining about the president’s inefficiency yet he is inefficient in his own position. If you’re not the change who is! Everyone is the change! It begins with you and I!
It's good to be back home. Rant about Rude Workers
I find it interesting that people do not appreciate what they do, where they are, and the reason they’re there. I’ve come to realize that every phase in my life is for a reason and my mantra is always “THIS TOO SHALL PASS.”
No matter where i find myself, I try to work with integrity and diligence because people are like water, we flow without a beginning and end. You never know where you’d encounter the same person again. So in whatever situation you find yourself, be cheerful and make the most of it.
I went to KFC yesterday and the lady gave me the wrong order and I was sooooooo mad because it was a long day and i was really tired. I complained but she was standing there high and mighty giving me attitude. I’m the customer and I’m not screaming at you, just logically explaining that “Oh you gave me the wrong order and charged way more than it said in the menu!” She was probably new or whatever. All I’m saying is you never know who you’re serving. You have to be patient and diplomatic!!!
Wherever you find yourself, Be good, Patient and Diplomatic in your conduct
