Oh man, I knew there were more reasons I kept associating One Day, One Room and The Tyrant! I wrote about the connection in terms of how House felt about Chase murdering Dibala here, but they also both have discussions of practical vs. moral differences:

One Day, One Room 3x12:

House: Which asses do we get to kill? Which asses get to keep on being asses? Nice thing about the abortion debate is we can quibble over trimesters, but ultimately there's an ice-cold line - birth. Morally, there isn't a lot of difference. Practically, huge.

The Tyrant, 6x04:

Dibala: You tell my colonel I'm a sick, dying old man who can't be trusted. Cameron: I didn't say… Dibala: You were trying to put a gun in his hand and point it at my head. The gun is now in your hand. That is a practical difference, not a moral one. If you want me dead, then pull the trigger. It is not so easy when you have to do it yourself.
