Continuity Draft

We added in some of martin’s clips from the recording day. We decided to use them on the sections where people actually did something interesting as using them on everything was way too jarring. We found this was actually pretty long and it got kinda repetitive which was what we wanted to avoid - so we decided to cut it down a bit more in the next draft.

First rough piece together 

We initially put all of the successful dictations together and got a video about ten minutes long. As a group decision, we cut it down majorly. We got to this but this isn't with martin’s clips added at all. We’re going to meet to discuss how to add these in, Possibly do a bit more research into some specific film styles.

Selective Organising

Once we finished filming I took the SD’s and went through all of the footage. We decided that we wanted the video to be approx 2 minutes long as we didn't want the audience to get bored watching as it can get pretty repetitive. Here is my splitting into groups - from left to right - us being rejected - Char’s Footage - Martin’s Footage.

This should allow us to get through our editing quickly and alot easier to locate the videos we’re specifically looking to work with.

Filming Day - Monday 15th 

Before filming we dedicated everyone in the group different jobs, so that the project runs smoothly and everyone is aware of their contributions. We also took into account health and safety. We wrapped the pole in a foam tube to avoid any bumps.

Our initial concepts.

Initial thoughts were something physical. We thought of dividing a pathway into sections for different people. Like a dog walker lane, cyclist, student, elderly etc. But we thought this might just be ignored. We wanted to make something that people have to abide by. We took the concept that “hole in the wall” had and turned it around into a static position people had to walk through to get into certain places in uni. We took this to our tutorial and we changed up the idea through a conversation with Laura and Rich. We then landed on a idea of using a limbo pole – this way it is completely safe and less daunting. It’s also able to be removed for elderly or disabled easily.
