OC written reference for Dicey
Alright, I am forcing myself to do this, even though it's gonna take me like twice as long as it should because I'm an indecisive procrastinating piece of shit who can't decide what to do for certain aspects and decides to watch YouTube videos instead of actually working on something I wanna work on. Let's get this shit over with.
Dicey Camelia
Dicey is a bisexual female chameleon who happens to be part gecko, thus causing her hands and feet to be like a gecko’s instead of a chameleon’s,and the two outside toes on her feet bend back farther than they should as a result.
her eyes have the slit pupils of a gecko but she can move them independently which results in her taking advantage of that and ruining selfies with her friends by making a derpy face.
She has a very long prehensile tail that she usually keeps partially curled up with the curls in a downward spiral so it doesn't get in the way with a small ridge going down the middle that decreases in size closer to the end, she also has a tiny little horn on her nose that points up, as well as a small frill that somewhat resembles hair when relaxed.
She has the ability to change her skin color at will, creating very complex patterns or making a hypnotic spiral of colors, she can't change the color of her eyes though. Usually she goes for more simple patterns or her colors trace each other in streaks because complex patterns can give her a headache if she does them for too long because of how they require a small amount of concentration. Her colors also change depending on her emotions, with certain colors meaning certain emotions.
Another thing she can do is use her scales to turn invisible, doing this casts a small glamour over her cloths also turning them invisible as well, she uses this to her advantage at her job so she can sneak up behind people to see if they're cheating or not.
She prefers to wear T-shirts and leggings/yoga-top pants, though she may wear less casual clothing when she's at work, even though she spends most of her time invisible up on a lighting fixture looking down at everyone to try and spot cheaters.
Dicey actually has Heterochromia, her left eye is a light shining golden and her right eye is a nice lilac.
She's about 5′9″ and her tail itself measures at a full length of 5′ when it's uncurled, though when it is curled it's about 3′ long.
This is measured from the side as it includes the farthest part of the coil in it's length.
When she hasn't gotten enough sleep and really should just be allowed to take a nap her colors shift more towards being grayscale, the more tired she is the less saturated her colors become, and her camouflage becomes sloppier.
most of the time she settles for colors that go with what she's wearing if she decides to be a particular color or two, though usually she just lets her emotions flow over her scales, though when she's more neutral colors just sort of chase each other swirling in streaks, albeit a bit on the slower side, sorta giving her scales a bit of a kaliediscopic effect.
She has sensitive hearing and amazing eyesight, she actually managed to see Dicey slipping in aces as he shuffled a deck of cards one, and she casually mentioned it as she passed by, which eventually led to her current assignment at the casino, basically she sits on a light fixture while invisible and watches everybody to try and catch as many cheaters as she could, despite not even knowing any card games aside from BS and Go Fish
She actually has a bunch of different things she does for the casino, one day she might be looking for cheaters, the next she might be a waitress or a janitor.
Don't put her behind the bar unless you want her to show off how skilled she is.
She grew up in the circus that her parents worked in and one of the people taught her how to mix drinks and put on a show while doing it.
She can also slide a drink down the length of a bar to the exact place she wants it to go and not spill a drop of what's in the glass.
She can also do some acrobatics and juggle as well.
She lives in an apartment with two friends of hers that she met in Inkwell when she first moved there to get away from an old abusive stalker ex and they've been like sisters ever since.
Dicey is 24 years old, though she can sometimes be mistaken for a teenager.
