Jason woke to his hands bound behind his back, his head pounding something fierce, and to someone slapping his face none too gently.
Okay... so patterns... I apparently always mention a character within the first line of a fic. So far 50% of the time the first character mention is Dick and 50% of the time it’s Jason. But other than that, I’m not seeing many patterns.
My favorite opening line out of those would have to be, “ Dick was aggressively frosting a Santa-shaped sugar cookie when he heard Slade come through the door of their newly purchased apartment.”-- I really enjoy the imagery of Dick Grayson aggressively frosting Christmas cookies and the fic as a whole was a hoot to write. I love writing humor and this is by far my most humorous story.
