I've been thinking about this since the situation the other day happened- one of the people asked me why I don't make my opinion about fiction known of my blog- and the answer is simple really-

I do. it's just not what my blog it /about/. I've reblogged some posts here and there in favor of Ao3 or not caring about what fiction someone is into- I'm just not personally a kink or sex blog so it's not on on my blog constantly. It seems like- and I could be wrong, but it seems like these people can not imagine everyday people holding the opinion that you should be able to write whatever your heart desires and not be punished for. They can't imagine that someone would believe that and not make a big deal out it I guess? I hold a lot of opinions I don't talk about constantly, It's just not what my thing is here. My thing is math and fat acceptance and trans stuff and TV shows/media. It just doesn't come up all the time, but I've curated my mutuals and followers in a way that I know they would agree with me if I talked about it lol

I'm not in the scum villain fandom, but a few mutuals of mine are. And even I saw how Shen Jiu fans often get attacked and singled out by other fans in the fandom for no reason other than making content for their blorbo. So I can understand them getting defensive eventually

Honestly I get like hating dgr characters, some of them can be very shitty. But like- they’re kids. Even at their oldest they’re only young adults, so it’s kinda hard for me to blame them for making poor moral choices when none of their brains are developed. Like at least 4 years away from full development.
