ive heard this on the grapevine along with buck supposedly saying "eddie's straight" which is setting people off because its not denial of feelings? like always ill believe it when i see it. people have been crashing out since eddie's departure didn't include confirmed buddie and now its confirmed that tommy is returning, they're scrambling to drag the rest of us down with their bs leaks.

Edelstans really live in a bubble. Even back then in 2019, you had people complaining about 3H being poorely written. Edelgard discourse or not.

Not as frequently since back then everyone was all about praising Three Houses for being so much better than Fates in every way, but the flaws were still noticeable. That's surely a major reason that the Fódlan games have always been such a hit in transformative fandom, which thrives in popular media with a lot of glaring flaws just begging to be addressed by fanwork.

It's not as though anyone still arguing about this really thinks that FE16 in its entirety is a masterpiece, either. Just ask them how they feel about the writing of the routes other than their favorite; the list of criticisms and proposed corrections will be long indeed.
