Can we talk about the way Volturi get rid of all the bodies they consume real quick?
On page 182 of The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide, Meyers says,
“In the center of the room is a slight depression that contains a drainage grate. The Volturi dispose of the bodies of their victims through this hole, which sits above a very deep cavern. Routinely, these remains are reduced en masse by acid.”
First of all, using acid in a medieval castle sounds like a great way to absolutely demolish the structure. This makes no sense.
Secondly, Aro and Caius are such princesses that there is absolutely no way in frozen hell they would allow that stench of human decay and acid to be so prevalent in their home.
I have been using this guide a lot for my writing, but this might be something I change in my story. Logistically it just makes no sense to me in terms of scientific accuracy (acid surely would kill the entire structure) as well as Aro and Caius not having that unhygienic shit go down in their castle.
If anything, I can see Felix and Santiago being made to wheelbarrow the bodies out and dumping them in a different location, and then the bodies getting reduced down by acid.
But also, the way they hunt by now, 2022, would have to greatly change so I doubt this would even be a thing, even by 2018. I mean, it doesn’t quite make sense for it to happen, either, during early 2000′s. I know missing persons cases aren’t always dealt with well, but come on. I have a hard time believing Volturi would eat just any man, woman, or child. I feel like they would have to be chosen much more carefully; if they wouldn’t be greatly missed then they’d be a target.
If anyone sees this, I love discussion and other viewpoints, so feel free to reblog with your pov!!
