As a non-native English speaker (and writer of fanfics) it's always so funny to look up (or rather double-check) words on dict.cc and discover some odd slang I've never heard before and wouldn't ever use in a fanfic (especially for rather dark/serious fandoms), like 'take a chill pill'.
Yeah sure, this character doesn't calm down, he 'takes a chill pill' :P

A translation website I use quite often (dict.cc) is building an Ukrainian - German dictionary and is looking for help. It´s asking for translations and audio recordings of words and phrases.
There are about 1,2 million displaced Ukrainians living in Germany today that could benefit from this 💗
What are the best honest German translators. That won't steer you wrong. Sometimes the google one isn't that good. And some others. Please and thankyou.

If you are a German learner you may know how dict.cc is our best friend. But did you know that you could install an extension on your Google Chrome webpage to instantly translate any phrase or word into a language of your preference, simply by double clicking them?
All you have to do is to go the Google web store and search for 'dict.cc':
Click 'Add to Chrome' and you will then find a little icon has been added to the tool bar at the top right hand corner of your chrome browser:
Enable the translating feature by clicking on the 'd' icon to make it orange, and you are good to go. Alternatively, you could go to settings by right-clicking on the icon to change your preferred language direction, or to create keyboard shortcuts etc. Now you can enjoy your web-browsing experience even more!
