So I'm Ukrainian on my mom's side, but grew up speaking Russian for various reasons (Mom grew up during soviet union collapse, most slavic families near me speak Russian, etc etc.). I can speak decent Russian, and I can read at like a first grade level. Recently I've been wanting to learn Ukrainian, and I know that talking to people is one of the best ways to learn a language. So basically, if anyone (preferably around the age of 17-18) might want to become my moot and help me practice my Ukrainian I would be very happy and grateful :).

Okay update I messed up with my language fun. I might have slightly started dating a very cute Hungarian person who knows exactly how to keep me interested at the moment. They know English quite decently and a little Polish. They’re actually learning my mother tongue, but still at a low level.

Oh well, time to learn a little basic Hungarian to at least recognise the language. We’re not telling them yet though. I want to surprise them, not build expectations I cannot live up to. I can’t even commit to my own mother tongue.

Fun fact! Hungarian has 16(?) cases 🫣. I can’t even do the 7 of Ukraine or the 4 of Germany properly.

But I also bought 2 german (kids) books a while back of which one is already finished and I bought a Ukrainian book. This is gonna be fun 😇✨. All books are so pretty!

The Ukrainian American actor Matt Czuchry has his surname officially pronounced as [ˈzuːkri] for some reason... When, in fact, it's Чухрій (chukhriy) - "itchy person" in Ukrainian. You can hear how it's pronounced here.

And bcs this sometimes you can see not only "Україна" but and "Вкраїна" bcs its be after vowels
