Placerias hesternus! A mid-sized, herbivorous therapsid from the Late Triassic period of North America.
This humble herbivore was grouped alongside the gigantic Lisowicia bojani under Kannemeyeriiformes, the youngest and last surviving lineage of the dicynodontida. Placerias was a quite large animal, estimated at about 3.5 m long and up to 1.000 kg in mass, it would've been the size of a large water buffalo.
Similarily to the latter, this beast might've been quite fond of bathing in water.
