Trying to figure out Soundwave's pre-Decepticon life in the Aligned Continuity and like.

Did he just, switch jobs from 'member of the council' to 'gladiator'? Cause I can't actually FIND anything that mentions how this transition happened, just that he was a member of council, fucked off from there when he got disillusion with them.

Then later it mentions he was a gladiator of Kaon. Like, what did he do, just, go to/back to Kaon and decide that since being a council member didn't work he'd start fighting people??

Did he catch wind of this young gladiator named Megatronus and decide to check out for himself what he was all about (see if he could live up to all his talk)?

Like, these are written like they're two different backstories but they're NOT since they're part of the same timeline/continuity. Which means he made one hell of a job change.
