Died Hereafter was a wonderful experience, and I have to know: was the alternate universe's Starscream as into Megatron as Megatron was into him? Were they evil-couple-ing it up before Scream's untimely death?

Hell yeah, they were!

They were endgame. Hereafter!Starscream was fully planning their future together, telling Megatron how they were going to live after they'd won the war; how he wanted to be treated like royalty and showered with gifts, how he wanted to live in a tower in Vos, even though Megatron would always argue that Iacon was more significant, and they should rebuild and live there instead

And then Hereafter!Starscream dies, and Megatron wins his war and rebuilds Vos, like his Starscream always wanted. Like all Starscream's would want

Did ‘died hereafter’ megs ever have any plans of letting starscream have his freedom/ flight back etc letting him “rule by his side”? or was he just stringing him along in order to get star to behave and keep him locked up in his tower forever?

also is soundwave alive in this au? I feel like he would not tolerate this nonsense, esp the forced pregnancy stuff he’d nip a bud in that quick!

Died Hereafter Megatron was really hoping that after a week or two Starscream would realise how much better life was in his universe and fully embrace it. At which point Megatron would gradually hand back his freedoms and they would concentrate on building their empire together.

And that, for Starscream, would mean securing their lineage by making a sparkling.

There is no living Soundwave in this AU. He, like Megatron's sense of reason, was lost to the war. He wouldn't have put up with this bullshit, and in fact, he would never have let Megatron get like this in the first place

What are your thoughts about a version of Died Hereafter where Alternate Megatron and his Starscream had already had a sparkling when Starscream was killed, so not only is Megs trying to replace his mate, but his sparkling’s carrier as well? Starscream’s obviously not about to step up for a kid that’s not even his, and I don’t see Megatron taking that well.

Assuming it's a different timeline and Alt Starscream lived to see close to the end of the war, his death will still be fresh, and the sparkling very young, I think Starscream would have more to worry about with intensely grieving Alt Megatron this time around. The sparkling might actually be a safe buffer from him, like a tiny Cybertronian shield Starscream can lift up and hold whenever Megatron starts acting intense or demanding or manipulative.

Starscream might look at that little sparkling and think what he would have wanted for his own, and decide to save him too

You are telling me there is a chance ( because you leave it to the audience) that died hereafter Starscream, are ALL that, STILL doesn’t think his Megatron could love him and they don’t get together?!? Like come on man you cannot be operating with that low a self esteem :(

Starscream thinks he's seen what Megatron's love looks like and is probably a little frightened of it, how intense it is, and how it made him feel. He thinks he's lucky his Megatron doesn't love him, but concedes that he does at least value him enough to come after him.

He's left with all these conflicting feelings though, and all these weird memories and urges. He has to sit and listen to raid plans during war councils, now knowing what it feels like to be pinned beneath Megatron, knowing what he sounds like when he overloads, knowing the exact size and shape of his mechhood, all while Megatron blusters about like a moron declaring his latest (stupid) plan a surety for winning the war.

Let’s see, This is an idea I got at a late (really late) hour of the night…

After Starscream returns to his universe with his Megatron, Toxic-Megatron gets more obsessed and desperated to “retrieve his Starscream” so he tries again and again but it’s allways the same result, every Starscream has his own Megatron. Why? Why can’t he be loved? He has so much to offer, so much love to give, he can protect him, with him Starscream will never surffer, so why run away?

It wasn’t fair, Starscream wasn’t fair to him. But he can’t give up, not yet. There must be one universe were Starscream was waiting for him, to save him, to love him back…

A Starscream without a Megatron.

God but imagine him finding one!

A Starscream in some dead, derelict universe? A Starscream in a world where the Decepticons were defeated? His trine killed in battle? His Megatron taken and executed?

A Starscream who is tired and lonely and broken and in need of saving?

If soundwave read Starscreams mind and saw what alt megs did to him, would he tell Megatron? If he did, what would megs do?

Soundwave's a big fat tattletale he'd snoop inside Starscream's head and tell Megatron EVERYTHING, not just what happened, but all of Starscream's secret thoughts and feelings about it too

(Like how Starscream's affection for HIM -Og Megatron- is what Alt Megatron was using to manipulate Starscream)

And Megatron is understandably furious at his alternate self and wants to kill him!!! But he also withdraws from Starscream because he feels guilty.

Which, of course, then upsets and confuses Starscream even more, which would lead to some big dramatic emotional blowout

How would Megatron react if "Died Hereafter" Starscream either got infected by a truth telling virus or just got REALLY overcharged and told him what au!Megs did to him?

Drunk or delirious with a truth telling virus, Megatron would put him to berth, furiously tell him to sleep it off, comm Shockwave and have him open up the gateway to the other dimension, and destroy Alt Megatron in Starscream's honour

How long would it take for Hereafter!Starscream to fully tell his Megs about everything the other universe Megs did to him? Would he shy away from talking about it? Or be very hesitant? Would he blurt it out like it wasn’t a big deal?

How did his experience affect his relationship with Megatron?

He would never, ever, ever tell him. He would take it to the grave, and then beyond. Even though he's pretty sure Megatron already knows, that doesn't mean he ever wants to discuss it.

And it's completely messed with him, especially how he views his own Megatron.

On one hand, it awoke this desire in him. Because despite everything au Megatron did him, Starscream was attracted to him, and that attraction grew as AU Megatron interfaced with him. So now poor Starscream is left with both the trauma of what happened, and this weird pavlovian response to seeing and being around his own Megatron where hes aroused and wants to 'face him, even though he knows that's the worse thing he could possibly do (he does it anyway)

And on the other hand, he's haunted by it for years. He's still living with the mech who kidnapped and held him prisoner. It may be a different version of him, but he wears the same face. It can be years, even centuries down the line, and the light may hit Megatron's face in such a way that he's suddenly the Other Megatron, and it takes Starscream right back to the tower again
