R.I.P. - Mrs. Dubose
Mrs.Dubose died today of an unknown illness. Her servant sent me a box she had wanted to give me. It had one camellia, just one. I felt sick, like if she was watching me from the grave. I asked Atticus about it and he told me she was battling an addiction. She had courage, getting off those painkillers right before she died. Somehow I feel bad, I’ve never seen Atticus talk about someone with such admiration. Atticus told me the flower is a sign. He said that it’s her telling me everything is all right between us. I hope so. Rest in peace Mrs. Dubose, your courage inspires us all. You will be missed.
