Support Project for Children at Risk.

I joined the volunteer project in Guadalajara with the Foundation for Children and Family (FIF) in October 2022. For two months, I worked with a team of educators and social workers to support children at risk at the "La Esperanza" Community Center.
Preparation: Before starting, I completed an online course on working with children at risk and participated in an orientation session with the FIF.
Training: I received training on education techniques and emotional support.
Field work: I participated in activities such as:
Recreational activities (sports, art, music)
Education in values and social skills
Emotional and psychological support
Community life: I lived with a local family and shared cultural experiences.
Connection with the children: I felt a deep connection with the children and their enthusiasm.
Sense of purpose: Contributing to improving the children's lives gave me a sense of purpose.
Challenges: I faced challenges such as the lack of resources and the complexity of the problems faced by the children.
Hoys: I enjoyed the energy and curiosity of the children.
Importance of education: I understood the importance of education to break the cycle of poverty.
Empathy: I developed greater empathy towards families and children at risk.
Collaboration: I learned to work in a team with educators and social workers.
Improvement in school performance: Children showed a significant improvement in their school performance.
Emotional development: Children developed social and emotional skills.
Community strengthening: The project strengthened the community and encouraged citizen participation.
This experience taught me the importance of education and empathy to improve the lives of others.
