APPEARANCE

As far as looks may go, Sandy could be considered an attractive looking female. With cascades of long ivory hair and porcelain skin tinted with a luminous glow; her waifish figure  possesses an otherworldliness as bewitching as a sweet dream. Her gold painted lips are full and seem always eager to smile. Ivory bangs swirl around her cheeks and over her forehead, soft and almost cloudlike. Most prominent upon first meetings, she is never seen without a blindfold, typically appearing belted and black. She is of slighted height, standing at only 5' 3", though her hair is longer still, often dragging upon the floor.

PERSONALITY

Peaceable, quiet and always composed. There is a great wisdom that exists within her calm smile. Nearly always silent, she prefers not to speak, letting her actions speak for her, as well as her highly expressive use of dream sand.

Devoted to her job as a Guardian, there is nothing she takes more seriously than the welfare of each and every sweet dream she sends to children worldwide even though she is known for "sleeping on the job". Despite her serious demeanor, Sandy has an innocent and childlike demeanor, with an ample imagination to match.

Though initially a silent observer, she is never one to go unheard, being very set upon being heard and willing to go to great lengths for this reason. As the eldest guardian, she often feels herself responsible for the morale and wellbeing of her fellow guardians.

Compassionate, perhaps to a fault, Sandy cares deeply for children, and always puts their wellbeing before her own. Though strictly a pacifist, she is a fierce warrior, often only fighting when the safety of a child is concerned, as she finds those who threaten the innocent to be intolerable.

HISTORY

Her memory of the past is distant, so long passed, in fact that her only true memory is awakening under the light of the moon, floating atop the clouds over a world she was charged to protect, so she had been told. This blue marble of a planet, Earth, housed a great many people. It was upon her first encounter with these people that she would become smitten with them, instantly. From then on, she has been the caretaker of dreams, carefully molding and shifting the sands of sleep, and providing children with the ability to dream. She is considered the first Guardian, and much to her relief, she was not the last.

TRIVIA

Within the waking world, Sandman is mute, only able to communicate through pictures made of her dream sand, and the expression upon her face. To increase her sensory skills  she has willing donned a blindfold, allowing her senses to paint a vision of the world through her sand machinations. This allows her to perceive things that might not ordinarily be seen. In the dream world, however, she is capable of speech and sight, though she lacks her extra sensory perception, and cannot feel anything while in the world of someone's dream.
