Both #fueldrain vans where called in today to drain 400 litres of severely contaminated fuel from this #narrowboat in #chirk today! The boat had previously had a small hole into the fuel tank and obviously let some #canal water in but until we cut the inspection holes nobody was quite aware of how bad it was! On inspection it was found to have severe #dieselbug and quite a bit of silt in the bottom of the #tanks We #drained as much fuel as we could and then used a wet vac to remove the #sludge build up from the tank before putting some #biocide treatment and fresh fuel in👍 the owner Bob was very impressed with the service and already passed our details on to other #boaters We had some covers made to cover the inspection holes, but these will now allow access should this problem arise again... not that it should, these have been sealed for 30years! www.nwfueldrain.co.uk #onsitedoneright #contaminatedfuel #reddiesel #narrowboatlife #fixed #canalside #diesel #canalboat #canalboatlife (at Chirk)
