traveling in Italy from USA and here are some of the subtle differences I’ve noticed
-trains are much easier. just walk up to the station and get on
-it’s hard to find a public restroom and harder to find a place to refill your water bottle. many businesses don’t have customer toilets at all
-they figured out chocolate ice cream. no clue why american ice cream can’t have a good chocolate flavor
-the cheese is just better. any food with cheese is worth getting
-mannequins have nipples here? on any women’s clothes your can see the mannequin nipples poking through.
-public wifi networks want your email address and phone number here for some reason
-businesses have shorter hours. many places are closed on sundays or in either morning or evening. my guess is that this is because wages are higher.
