SILVER I NEED HELP ASKING FOR A FRIEND
IS THIS A CRUSH OR NOT????
I mean
It can be? Admittedly I’m not like, the most experienced, but for me it depends on time. If it’s like. Every once in a while or for like, a week or so, to me that’s just an attraction. But if it’s longer and super super often, it’s a crush?
Again, that’s just sort of my thoughts, I know different people classify it differently. Does that help at all?

******* AFTG Exchange Valentine's fic for IKnowWhoYouAre_Damianos
Bookmarker's Notes:
Here's Nekojita's take on Andrew moving from No Wedding, No How to proposing marriage. There's her characteristic wit + lovely attention to details along and more. It's tender to watch Mr Minyard sift through his feelings with Bee about why he wants to take this step with Neil + sweet to watch how his simple, yet specific plans go sideways. These two have traveled a long way from each of their childhoods to see marriage as an option they're willing to choose. Of course it will have their own sassy twist to it!
Autism looks different to everyone. In our house, it began as immersing myself in a new language. It was exhausting. Finding out our son was a high-functioning child with autism was a relief to me, his mom, because it gave me a starting place to do my favorite thing:
RESEARCH.
The answers each parent finds as they seek tips and aids and ideas in raising a child with autism will vary. They may have nothing to do with one's own child, in fact. But they get the brain buzzing, so that each parent and caregiver can see a few things of import.
1. They are not alone. Getting the diagnosis can be scary and sorrowful for families, but knowing there are others out there handling the same issues can be heartening.
2. There are resources of people, places, and ideas. When one finds oneself in an unfamiliar country, where the language is different and the customs and behaviors are foreign to what one is used to, finding reference points and resources is invaluable. Meeting other parents who know the language. Meeting specialists who can draw from hundreds of other cases. Reading blogs, even, where personal experiences are documented. (Often with humor! Because ya gotta!)
3. Each parent is the expert on their own child. No matter what is out there in the avalanche of information, no one knows YOUR child as you do. So you can be assured that there IS an expert and that expert is you. To determine that hey, Seasonal Affective Disorder is So Much Fun (not) when your child has autism. To learn that jokes have a different dimension (so awesome) when your child is on the spectrum. To find that that sleep disorder that's been driving you insane is actually not uncommon and can be treated is amazing.
Okay, at least it was for me.
The first two years were exhausting for me. Learning that every plan had to have at least two back-ups? Egads. Expectations to do this and that were harrowing.
But then, I got my feet under me. I realized that the most important expectations were between me and my son, in terms of his day to day functionality and his plans for tomorrow. I seek to do my best by him and he knows that, even when it makes him angry and annoyed. And at the end of the day, we can still do our Princess Bride quotation at bedtime, say we love each other, and call the day "Done" with a smile.
And that, after all, is entirely normal.
So like, the identity disturbance in BPD is one of those things i used to struggle explaining, but i have some words for it now.
When I look at old pictures of myself, I recognise who I am in the logical sense. My hobbies come and go, and my goals often rapidly switch.
When it comes to things ive done in the past, it feels like a completely different person did those, and it is so confusing.
Its probably one of the strongest parts of it for me, because I find myself constantly going through things to remind myself, that i am sure of:
I like games.
I like music
I like warframe
I am incredibly loyal and loving
I love my pets
I am capable of giving love. A lot of it its taken a lot of work, but i assume those are my core identity. everything else is transient.
Oh yeah the loss of dignity that dating a closeted man brings 🙄. No one's forcing you to be there bestie
