At primary school a teacher told us to draw our own portraits.The boy who was sitting next to me was the first one to finish his self portrait . So the teacher came over and the boy showed her his portrait. The teacher was somehow shocked. She asked him why he draw a big black dot. First i thought it was black football bc he loved to play football but it wasn't. He started crying and answered: This is what i look like. We were a class full of kids from different countries but he was the only one with another skin color. You know he was only 6 years old and felt different bc of his skin color. He thought he wasn't beautiful. I cannot imagine what he was going through or who made him feel like this. This breaks my heart to this day and i'm almost 20 years old. I just want everyone to know that you are beautiful no matter what skin/ hair/ eye color you have DIFFERENT is BEAUTIFUL !!!
