the really great thing about fansongs as opposed to most fic and art is. it's more or less reasonable for song lyrics to stop just shy of naming names - oh, catchphrases and such, sure, but - anyway.

which means that you can move on to the next fandom and then listen to the song again and be like. dammit. dammit. it matches my new fave completely. i'm a predictable buffoon (and I love it)

#MIND you fic and art and edits ABSOLUTELY have cases and places that can also do this #just that it seems intuitively to me like it'd be a smaller proportion of content that can do it to the extent of--#of a third party not actually being able to guess which fandom was the one that spawned it #dig?
