(REPOSTED because Tumblr ateup the last one during the reblog drama)
Iza and her Digimon mega form, Nephilmon.
An excuse to practice anatomy and drawing scars/tattoos, and also using Peter Mohrbacher's krita brushes c:
I like humanoid type digimons a lot specially when there is an amalgamation between human-like and beastly looking.
She was human at some point, until she wasn't, and the events of that story are deeply traumatic for her and other people involved.
What if a human child dies in a very traumatic way in the Digimon World and there is nowhere for their data to go?
I was very fascinated by the D-Reaper plot in Digimon tamers, specially the whole premise of "software turned insane and now is a menace to both digimon and humans alike", I do believe it managed to do this through assimilation to the new enviroment, destroying the fine line that separated both worlds, and if a military software created by humans in the 80s could have mutated to that point, what could Yggdrasill do with the new data that is presented to it?
I’m working on a Digimon Project, which was probably 4 years(?) in the making; I haven’t gotten back to this until now, but now I’m sure that I want to get this going. The only problem: I don’t have a name for it, but it’s got a time- and Legend Arms Digimon-centric theme. Also you may recognize two of the ocs here from other groups and octs. Anyways, a cleaner version with color will be posted later, so enjoy this sketched version, which can also be found on dA here.
Ok not posting art in over a month is very weird from me, got trapped in irl shenanigans and also started studying programming, which took A LOT of my time.
Here some doodles of my main Digimon OC, Iza, also Wizardmon and Piedmon too, because they support her a lot, although Piedmon is just an annoying bastard lol
Also her non human form, I am debating on her design still.

This is just a first concept for her final evo (and one I've been fighting for long time), I wanted to create an imposing appearance for her, but also not as "blindingly radiant" as the Angelic digimons like Angewomon/Angemon, she would be a holy digimon still all things considered (specially her being half human, which is teased on her own name).
I was heavily thinking in Malenia, Blade of Miquella (Elden Ring) for the vibe she gives me, as a demigod who looks human but is obviously not, her movements would resemble a type of bird, and her voice would have this strange metallic vibration when talking.
As well, one feeling I wanted to portray with her is something I have been thinking about a lot of female-like digimons; I usually don't mind the sexiness and attractiveness but sometimes I want some darkness and beastly/threatening aura, with mannerism you know aren't entirely human.
Her armor would be made of a material akin to obsidian, and her helmet is removable, and I tell you I fought myself to death regarding her armor here, because I saw her body and I felt like an armor would be repressive on her, specially considering her previous Evo tries to resemble a knight (for plot reasons), still she isn't as naked in the second version, her body is covered in a material similar to feathers, and she can easily discharge her armor data as well as her wings (think in MCU Vision).
I am trying to achieve her as being a more "raw" and "savage" rather than having an specific symbolism like light or darkness.
Maybe is the reason her attribute ends up being variable.
The small digimon fell on his back, right when the lance of the larger Digimon in front of him grazed the brim of his hat. The next scream got lost on his throat as the air exited his lungs, the impact against the ground taking his breath away.
His staff laid some meters away, and he tried to lunge at it, only to be put back with the same force as before, fighting against the Knight who had pushed him away with the end of his sabaton as if he was a small animal disobeying his owner. When he once again tried to jump out the way to the exit, a powerful gauntlet took hold of his cape and yanked.
“STAY BEHIND ME” The Knight's voice resonated inside the cave, and the beast growled with equal force. The knight then shielded himself and the small digimon when a surge of blue fire engulfed them both.
Wizardmon cursed in his mother tongue at the older digimon, frustration overcoming the fear gripping his bones with an iron fist. The heat was excruciating, it burned everything it touched on its path, but he was not ready to die, not yet.
“STOP! Stop attacking…!” It was futile; he saw the spear move forward with the speed of lightning as the knight faced the open mouth full of teeth of the beast, who tried once again to reach for the two of them. “You don’t understand! It’s her! It’s still her!”
But Gallantmon, being the strongest and stubborn Royal Knight that there was, didn’t listen to the small digimon behind him, ready to lunge forward and attack at the enraged creature blocking their only escape, getting closer and closer to them, cornering them with every step.
The claws of the dragon digimon grasped the rocks as it tried to squeeze itself like a wild animal reaching its prey, then the Knight lunged and his spear drew a bright arch over his head, effectively slicing the beast’s frontal claws, opening its flesh.
The creature howled in pain and retreated momentarily, just for the blueish fire to nearly cover them both once again. A growl echoed in the cave and hurt Wizardmon’s ears; a cacophony of pure unaltered madness.
“Iza!”
“No matter what name the creature had in its former life, is no more, you do understand?”
And Wizardmon screamed, out of fear, but also out of spiteful anger, as he pushed the armored leg of the stronger digimon while this one stood, unmoving and stoic, waiting for the creature to reach once again for them both.
He cried, staring beyond the Knight, at the blood staining the white of feathers and scales, the gigantic mouth full of teeth and sharp fangs, the bright sun outside creating a halo over the beast as if had been thrown out of the Holy Halls to chastise them all with its fire.
And he stared, trying to understand how they came to this, looking for a sign of recognition in the monster's face. But the only response he had back was the vacant eyes of the one who was once his friend.
A digitama spawning to life from the remains of a human child who had the misfortune to die in the digiworld, and her digimon wanted to kept her alive....
